From the Wikipedia "Podcasting" is making audio files (most commonly in MP3 format) available online in a way that allows software to automatically download the files for listening at the user's convenience. Think of it as TiVo for your mP3 player. I make a show and post it to this website, then a program like iPodder, iTunes or iPodderX goes out in the middle of the night (if you leave your computer on) and automatically downloads new episodes and installs them on your mP3 player. Could be an iPod but doesn't have to be. Then, at your convenience, you listen to the show.

The subscription model is one of the keys to this deal for two reasons:

1. it makes it possible for all this tech stuff to happen automagically
2. it helps spread out the server load so we don't have icky bandwidth issues.

It is possible to listen to the show just by clicking the direct link to a show but if you find you like what you hear, please subscribe with your Podcast client at:

At this point the shows have been recorded while I was traveling to various slope events around the country and contain mostly random thoughts but all of them are about slope soaring! Due to the mobile nature of the recordings the quality is so-so but I am working on a more formatted version and studio recorded of the show and will post them when I get them ready. Should be fun!

If there is something I should cover in the slope soaring world, let me know about it. Events, plane reviews, interviews, whatever. Just shoot me an email to slopeflyer@gmail.com.

If you are already podcasting and have content you'd like me to include in a show send it to the same address slopeflyer@gmail.com.

Let me know what you think.
