| Every slope flyer needs one of these. |
My version is loosely based on the version in the September 1999 issue of S&E Modeler with the power coming from a 25 foot piece of Hollyday Designs standard bungee rubber.
The buingee I am using is great for planes like the Mini Acacia and the SH-50. The bungee I am using is good up to about a 25 ounce plane. If you are launching bigger planes or foamie warbirds go for the biggest bungee material you can find.
After you push the pedal, you are at 200 feet in about 5 seconds. It is great for days where the wind is light. Vertical rolls on the way up are real crowd pleasers.
Once you are airborne, you can hunt for lift or just point it down for high speed aerobatics and passes. After all, you can always launch it again.
