Wizard Compact 2x
Posted by Greg Smith on Nov 10, 2003, 21:10

The Sailplane Shop is proud to be the exclusive US distributor of the Wizard Compact 2. Please visit our website for more info on purchasing a Wizard Compact 2.

The Wizard is one of the best slope planes in the world and the construction, fit and finish is second to none. It is truly a work of art.

Type: F3F racer/sport sloping/hard-core DSing
Wingspan: 2.5 meter (100 inches)
Length: 120 cm (47.25 inches)
Wing area: 49,6 square dm (770 sq/in)
Weight: 67 ounces to 90 ounces dry
Airfoil: SD 2030 MOD.
Ballast: up to 1600 grams

All Wizards are handmade in Slovakia by Milan Janek. Worldwide production is about 40 per year! His attention to detail has to be seen to be believed. Look INSIDE a wing before you install servos and you will see what I mean. These planes are as pretty inside as out.

There are several configurations of the Wizard available. The standard Wizard is a two-piece wing with all moving, detachable V-tails. For DS use an optional one-piece V-tail with elevators is available. The wing joiner is made of carbon. Standard versions include:

  • Glass
  • Carbon 93
  • Carbon 160
  • BPV (Bullet Proof Version - Double Carbon)
  • Superlight
