Mirko likes the Pixel so much he now has 2 Posted by Mirko Bodul on Apr 30, 2002, 02:52 I have now been flying my Pixel since March 15th. In this month and a half, I have found this plane to be very versatile for a variety of conditions: from 40 mph winds to light wind conditions with pulsing thermals. In France, I have flown high winds with absolutely no ballast. I flew this plane almost every day for three weeks during the vacation in Brittany. Mirko with one of his Pixels at Warnimont Park I am not very keen on small planes since I own so many "Tubs" as Greg Smith likes to call my scale planes as well as other 4 meter non scale hogs that I fly. I also own several 2 meter planes. The tubs are easier to see when they are far away. This 60 inch sweetie is my favorite small plane. It is a very simple build. The fixed stabs, means a very simple twist wing plane. The stabs and wings are all pre-done and obechi covered. All you add are the stab pins and the throw pins on the wings. The wing rod tubes are already set into the wings. The fiberglass fuselage is kevlar re-enforced, the wing rod tube  position is pre-marked on the fuse as well as the throw pin holes. Adjusting and fitting the servo tray to the fuselage is about the hardest thing to do on this plane. Canopy fitting is very simple and straightforward. My Pixel weighs around 25 ounces and I am finishing a second Pixel tonight. This is an exceptional small plane and I love the little buggar!!!! All turning, as well as pitch control is done with the wings. Two standard size servos and a radio with a elevon mixing is all you need for a very fun, very stable, very maneuverable plane. Nice crisp rolls are very easy, and this is an easy plane to land.
